The Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura & Hayama

The museum has wide range of collections. Western style painting: Yuichi Takahashi, Tetsugoro Yorozu, Ryusei Kishida, Harue Koga, Shunsuke Matsumoto, etc. Japanese style painting: Tamako Kataoka, Makoto Mikami, Masayoshi Nakamura, Hoshun Yamaguchi, etc. Many other pieces of photography and sculpture.

Yokohama Art Museum

(横浜美術館)

The museum has a large collection of art from the late 19 th century through to the present day, including Dali, Magritte, Cézanne, Picasso, as well as works by artists who have been associated with Yokohama since the end of Edo period and through the Meiji period. As Yokohama is one of the birthplaces of photography in Japan, we are also proud of having a significant collection of photography. 

Okada Museum of Art

The museum collects Rimpa artworks including Tawaraya Sotatsu, Ogata Korin and others. It has the best collections in Japan of Chinese ceramics. It also has great lacquer ware collections.
